Māori cadet programme

‘Young at Heart’ Youth Employer Pledge Awards
Māori and Pacifica Diversity
Winner 2015

The vision to provide meaningful career opportunities for young Māori through a cadet programme with Ngāi Tahu and Waikato Tāinui iwi helped secure this award. The Awards recognise Aurecon’s commitment as a Youth Employer Pledge Partner to employing and developing youth in Auckland.

The programme offers a pathway into professional careers young Māori might not otherwise consider; with support from both employer and whanau (extended family) cadets can gain a formal qualification while working.
